Low-Spend August Week 1 & Super Savings Saturday
So we’re one week into the low-spend August and so far, so good! I am having a really hard time sticking to my fun money (but maybe if I do really well with the groceries
I can borrow a little from there). On to the numbers - here is what I have spent so far.
- Groceries: $23.17 ($176.83 left)
- Fuel: $136.26 (363.74 left)
- Auto Repair: $274.03 ($5.93 under budget! woot!)
- Auto Inspections: $0 (haven’t gotten the inspections yet)
- Fun Money: $37.11 ($162.89 left)
- Day trip to Martha’s Vineyard:$0 ($100 left - trip planned for next weekend)
- Waterfire in Providence: $0 ($100 left - planned for 8/22)
So, all in all, I am happy with week 1. We are on a pretty good pace so far. I am crazy proud of the grocery number & I got a ton of food!

Look at all the food! $$9.64 Stop & Shop, $9.67 Shaws, $3.86 Farm Stand
As for the fun money, I bought a couple of different things:

A couple of brewskies with my husband & friends - $27

Bottomless Iced Coffee from Panera - $2.11
Green Tote from JC Penney - $7 shipped!
