About
I am a mid-twenties, married chica who has already been deep in credit card debt and climbed the way back out. I live in Massachusetts with my husband, Cory and our two kitties.
I am by no means an expert on personal finance (*disclaimer*), but a few years ago our finances were a mess and I decided to get my act together. I started reading everything I could find on personal finance and getting out of debt. Over the next 2.5 years, we paid off over $38,000 in credit card debt and got things turned around.
Since we paid off our credit card debt at the end of 2008, we’ve continued on to our remaining debts. However, we still live our lives pretty well - we take vacations, we eat great food, we have a good time - all on our budget.
Contact me with any questions or comments and thanks for reading!

Hello. I’m a news reporter who is working on a story about the home projects that people are doing in their current houses when they can’t move. I ran across your blog post about not being able to move, and I’m wondering whether there are home projects you’ll be taking on at your current place now that a move is off the table.
I’m writing the story for The Associated Press news wire service. If you’re not familiar with it, the AP is a long-standing and reputable company. Please send me an email at hansonrose@hotmail.com if you’re willing to chat for a quick phone interview.
Thanks,
Rose Hanson
